What Can I Sell on Little Swaps? What Items Are Prohibited?

At Little Swaps, our mission is to make it simple, safe, and sustainable for parents to give pre-loved items a second life. From outgrown baby clothes to gently used gear, we make sure every item finds its next happy home, while keeping quality and safety at the heart of our community.

Before you start listing, here’s a quick guide to help you know exactly what’s allowed on Little Swaps and what’s not.

✅ What You Can Sell on Little Swaps

You can list most kids’ and family-related items that are in gently used or excellent condition. That includes:

  • 👕 Clothing & Shoes – Baby, toddler, and kids’ wear, plus maternity and mama clothing.

  • 🎒 Accessories – Hats, bags, bows, and seasonal gear.

  • 🧸 Toys & Books – As long as they’re clean, safe, and have all their parts.

  • 🍼 Baby Gear – Carriers, diaper bags, high chairs, strollers (if clean and safe), and similar essentials.

  • 🛏️ Nursery Items – Bedding, décor, and storage pieces that don’t pose any safety hazard.

Every item should be family-friendly, in good condition, and ready for another family to enjoy.

🚫 What’s Not Allowed on Little Swaps

To protect our community and maintain trust, some items cannot be listed or sold. These include:

  • Counterfeit, replica, or “inspired by” branded items

  • Used underwear

  • Food and perishable products

  • Perfumes, cosmetics, or make-up

  • Wellness or hygiene items (like supplements, lotions, protein powders, toothbrushes, etc.)

  • Tech and electronics (phones, tablets, gaming systems, cords, chargers, etc.)

  • Furniture and crib bumpers

  • General home décor, kitchen appliances, or cleaning supplies

  • Any recalled, unsafe, or expired products

  • Items that violate safety or legal regulations

Little Swaps also prohibits the sale of any product recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) or by the manufacturer. You can double-check recalls anytime at the CPSC website.

💡 Tips for Selling Successfully

When selling clothing or gear, details matter!
Each piece can fit differently, so help other parents shop confidently by including:

  • Clear photos (front, back, tag, and fabric details)

  • Accurate measurements

  • Honest condition notes (e.g., “like new,” “light wash wear”)

The more transparent and detailed your listing, the faster it’ll sell — and the happier your buyer will be.

🌿 The Little Swaps Difference

Unlike other marketplaces, Little Swaps was built by parents, for parents — so you don’t have to worry about porch pickups, scammers, or endless back-and-forth messages. Just list, drop, and go.

Together, we’re building a safer, more sustainable way to declutter — one swap at a time.
